Our Board of Directors

Rob Hislop.........President

This is Rob’s third year as President of the Board. Passionate about being an active part of his community, Rob is honoured to be involved with an organization that offers such tremendous support to all families of the Shuswap. From oneself to family, to neighbour, to community, we are each blessed with the opportunity to make a difference.

Richard Morton.........Vice-President

Richard is now into his third year on the Board, now in the position of Vice-President. Richard is a self-employed photographer; married with a young son and very aware of the vital role The Family Centre has in our community. "With our new building, along with our excellent staff, we are in a wonderful position to support our families effectively."

Lois Towgood.........Secretary

This will be Lois’ fifth year on the Board. Her background as an elementary educator and her strong interest in what’s “best” for children have led to her involvement with the Centre and the Board. Lois’ ability to work the helium compressor during the Children's Festival is a definite asset for the Centre.

George Johnston.........Treasurer

George is a new member of our Board. His social work background and many years spent working with various provincial ministries and agencies have made him a strong advocate for support for families within their own communities and have provided him with many experiences which will be of particular help to the Board. 

Debbie Ritchie.........Director

Debbie has volunteered for thirty years for Children Non Profit and Seniors Non Profit organizations. Employment has always been in the Social Development areas. With two children and three grandchildren Debbie and her husband's priority is always 'family'.
